anteface

daniel martins

Daniel Martins is the director, screenwriter, and editor of Anteface, his first short film. He works independently, with an interest in visual narratives that explore provocative, sincere, and realistic themes. His cinema aims to move the viewer through images that reveal discomfort, silence, and the tensions of everyday existence.

In its one-minute length, Anteface inspires a provocative dialogue: what fire is it that boils us, what face is it that we conceal? Through the boiling of a pan, we are led to a sincere portrait of the human condition: the feeling of exile, the conflict between perfection and imperfection, the individuality of existence, and the disconnection within collective life. Anteface is, in a few words, the curious capture of a human moan muffled by masks.
