LunchBox follows Maya, a busy mother who's preparing her son's lunch. However, in the morning rush, her son forgets his lunch box and rushes off to school. Without hesitation, Maya springs into action. She grabs the forgotten lunchbox and sprints down the street, arriving at the bus stop just in time to hand it to her son as he boards the bus. However, her neighbors who saw her running through the streets, react with laughter and disapproving whispers for her actions, saying a married woman shouldn't be seen running in public. Upon returning home in a flashback, we discover that Maya, back in her younger days, was a talented athlete known for her speed on the track. The next day begins, and Maya prepares the morning lunch again. However, this time, she intentionally wants her son to forget the lunchbox. She subtly checks whether the lunchbox is left on the table, hoping her son forgets it. Maya happily observes this with a passion for running back again.
